- Spring clean and tidy the garden before the sale. The little things make a great difference.
- Know your competition, do a little local research to keep informed on the local property market.
Any tips and tricks to improving the value of your home?
- Minor repairs and painting can increase value.
- Well-presented homes have great appeal. Declutter and spend time cleaning the property in preparation for open house inspections and viewings.
How is the property market in your local area performing?
Coming into spring, the market is flourishing and stock is building. This is a great time of year for selling real estate in Melbourne.

Why did you join Purplebricks?
Having worked in real estate for a number of years and being an owner of an agency, it was becoming increasingly clear that agent’s fees were outgrowing the agent’s value. Property prices in some areas have grown astronomically in recent years. Taking hard earned money in fees was difficult to justify.

Talking to homeowners who are looking to sell their properties, with no reservations on the service that can be provided to them, at an extremely cost effective price. The response so far from the public has been very positive.
Tell us one thing about you that would surprise people?
I am a grandfather and have four kids aged between 23 and 20 months. My two youngest kids are younger than their nephew.
What is your own property dream?
To continue to build a property portfolio for my retirement and to assist my children financially.

Start saving early. I didn’t listen.
